ENOUGH VICTIMS AND PAIN!
Message from the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity
, Republic of Nicaragua Managua, 7th October, 2023

The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity, and the People of Nicaragua, with all responsibility and knowledge of the facts, strongly condemn the worsening of the terrible Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which causes more and more victims and pain among so many innocent Families, and which aggravates the already violent enough situation of the Region and the World.

The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity, and the People of Nicaragua, as always, strongly condemn, this tragic, dramatic situation that continually worsens, in the face of the arrogance, blindness, incomprehension and inaction of the International Community and particularly of the United Nations.

Each victim, each Family affected by death, material destruction; the destruction of the ways and means of Life; the destruction of their Cultures, expressions and spaces of Faith and Worship; the infamous occupation of their territories; each Family harmed constitutes a grievance in the Consciousness of the World, and of Humanity.

The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity, and the People of Nicaragua, Always in Solidarity with the Palestinian Cause, Always Fraternal and Always Close; in condemning the barbarism unleashed yet again between two Brotherly Peoples and from our own experiences of imposed wars, calls the World to reflection and respectful action, based on the Values, Culture and forms of Family and Community Life, which have been ignored, altered and squandered by imperial voracity, by selfishness, folly, insensitivity, and contempt in not recognizing the Palestinian State, that is regard thy Neighbor, as thy equal.

The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity and the People of Nicaragua, call on the United Nations, the International Community, the Conscience of the World, to speak out and contribute to stop this new massacre between Brothers, which demands Respect and Solidarity from all of us, to undertake again the essential dialogues and conversations based on Rights, to defend the lives of all.

The Palestinian and Israeli Peoples have the Right to live safely and in Peace. We must respectfully contribute to the Dialogue that ensures their rights and the full recognition of their States.

Nicaragua Welcomes Palestinian Leader
On Oct. 9, Foreign Minister Dennis Moncada offered a warm welcome to Palestinian leader Ramzi Rabah who arrived with his delegation to reaffirm the historical relationship and solidarity between the two peoples. “We welcome him and express the constant solidarity of our government and our people with the Palestinian cause,” said Moncada. The Palestinian leader stressed that his visit is on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the leadership of the Palestinian people. Rabah, who is the head of the anti-apartheid department of the PLO, said, “The Palestinian people have always had a special appreciation for the Sandinista Popular Revolution, the Sandinista Party and Comandante Daniel Ortega for all the solidarity and support for the Palestinian people and their just cause. We will never forget that Nicaragua was the first to recognize the right of existence of the Palestinian people in the 1970’s.” He said that in those years Nicaragua supported the Palestinian right to freedom and self-determination. “Especially in these days when the Palestinian people are suffering the Israeli attacks, the massacres in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank…. That will not stop our struggle and resistance, because the people are destined to exercise their right to freedom and victory,” Ramzi Rabah said. (tn8tv, 9 October 2023)

The National Assembly issued a Declaration this Tuesday morning, October 10, in which it ratifies solidarity with the Palestinian people and government and advocates for a just international order, opposing all types of denomination and colonialism.

The president of that branch of State, Dr. Gustavo Porras, read the content of the declaration condemning the occupation of the Gaza Strip.

“We express our solidarity with the Palestinian people who have been victims of aggression, the National Assembly calls on the conscience of the world to raise their voices and contribute to the preservation of life and peace,” said Porras.

National Assembly Declaration:

Our Political Constitution establishes that the fight for peace and the establishment of a just international order are inalienable commitments of the Nicaraguan nation, which is why we oppose all forms of colonialist and imperialist domination and exploitation and we are in solidarity with all the peoples who fight against oppression and discrimination.

In that sense, the people of Nicaragua have been characterized by maintaining a supportive and fraternal relationship with the Palestinian people. Both peoples share the spirit of struggle and resistance in the face of aggressions that obey colonialist and imperialist interests.

Nicaragua is a people that loves peace and justice, which is why it always advocates respect for the principles of international law. We condemn the occupation of the Gaza Strip, which generates a serious humanitarian situation for the Palestinian people, an occupation that produces victims and pain in the population.

Faced with this situation, we express our solidarity with the Palestinian people who have been historical victims of attacks that deteriorate the family, infrastructure, cultural spaces and means of subsistence of the Palestinian people.

The National Assembly of Nicaragua calls on the conscience of the world, to raise their voices and contribute to the preservation of life and peace, which can only be achieved through the peaceful resolution of conflicts with tolerance, dialogue and solidarity. between sisters and brothers.

We demand that the United Nations and the international community implement clear and consistent actions with peace, leaving behind the particular interests of the states, always seeking the healthy coexistence of the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.

Publish this legislative declaration in the Gazette, Official Gazette. Given in the City of Managua, in the session room on the 10th day of October 2023.

Deputies condemn massacre

The United Nations and Human Rights Organizations are silent once again in the face of the massacre of thousands of children and women in Palestine, a genocide by Israel and that Nicaragua has historically condemned and supported that people.

This was expressed this Tuesday by deputies from the Sandinista Front bench before the National Assembly.

Representative Edwin Castro expressed that since 1947 Israel began the genocide against the people of Palestine, a completely reprehensible act.

“Nicaragua has always been in favor of justice and that means in favor of the Palestinian people for their free self-determination for their territory, because they have all the historical right,” he said.

For his part, deputy José Figueroa, vice president of the Economic Commission, stated that the world must demand the end of the bomber and permanent aggression against the Palestinian people.

“Historically, Nicaragua has been in solidarity with Palestine, always with a position of support in the defense of international law,” he mentioned.

Both parliamentarians highlighted the visit to Managua of Mr. Farid BM Sarouh Mahebe, Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and Head of the Anti-Apartheid Department of the PLO.
