Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, held a meeting today with Diosdado Cabello, first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), who is visiting to Cuba at the head of a partisan delegation.

Always together Cuba and Venezuela, said the Head of State at the beginning of the dialogue, according to the Twitter account of the Presidency.

“Always together Cuba and Venezuela”. With those words, the dialogue between the president Diaz-Canel and the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, who has been visiting the island since the beginning of the week, began.”

During the meeting, both leaders discussed what both political organizations can do in order to articulate the left of the current era , in a context of media and communication war based on lies and smear campaigns.

“Both leaders spoke about everything that both political formations can do in the articulation of the left of our time, which today faces a huge media and communication war, based on lies, slander and smear campaigns.”

The Cuban president took the opportunity to thank the permanent solidarity of Venezuela with Cuba and its support in the most complex moments, especially its leader, President Nicolás Maduro, to whom he sent a hug, extended to his team of government.

“The Cuban president thanked Venezuela for its permanent solidarity with Cuba and the support in the most complex moments, personally from its leader, Nicolas Maduro. Diaz-Canel sent a hug to Maduro and his government team.”

Through his personal account, Díaz-Canel shared a photo of the meeting and expressed that “hugging a brother at home is the greatest joy.”

“Hugging a brother at home, the greatest joy. We confirmed it in a meeting with Diosdado Cabello. We will see what the adversaries speculate. We only reiterate that “whoever messes with Venezuela messes with #Cuba and vice versa.”

Diosdado Cabello arrived in Cuba last Monday, and during his stay, he held official talks with leaders of the Cuban Communist Party, the Cuban State and Government, focused on the work of the respective political organizations and the possibilities of strengthening exchange, dialogue and collaboration.

To this end, together with Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, he also signed an agreement for exchange and cooperation between both political forces, and toured the Mariel Special Development Zone and the Higher School of Cuadros del Partido Ñico López, among other places of interest.

Cuba and Venezuela to reaffirm PSUV-PCC relations

Havana, Aug 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuba’s Communist Party (PCC) and Venezuela’s United Socialist Party (PSUV) strengthened on Tuesday relations after the signing of collaboration deals that formalize links between both organizations.

The documents, signed by PCC Secretary Roberto Morales Ojeda and PSUV First Vice President Diosdado Cabello at El Laguito´s Protocol Hall in Havana, reveal the excellent existing bilateral ties between the two organizations.

The deals will facilitate the establishment and strengthening of friendship, cooperation, dialogue, communication, mutual learning and political trust between the PCC and PSUV.
