Mision Verdad: The fundamental role of the Venezuelan population in the face of military threats The population has reacted in a way unexpected by the global media exerting psychological pressure on them. There is no visible unrest in the streets, and the majority rejects foreign intervention in the country. The opposition has lost political influence and its ability to mobilize support. Terrorist plots aimed at creating chaos have been consistently dismantled. in many cases with the help of intelligence by the civilian population.
The Venezuelan government has implemented various strategies for national economic stabilization in response to the US blockade. It has also deepened actions that strengthen the organizational fabric of grassroots power. The government has redirected social investment and resources to be managed by grassroots social organizations. Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBIs) have held national popular consultations in which the people vote on projects to address the collective problems of their communities. The population is making progress in improving collective living conditions through popular organization; this minimizes the conditions for social confrontation because political differences are resolved through dialogue and collective solutions.
Faced with internal upheaval induced by the US and its allies, Venezuela has built popular participation in comprehensive security and defense, increased local political participation, and food sovereignty. This results from a social cohesion based on collective achievements, and the division among anti-Chavista sectors.
Ultimas Noticias: Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI) Formed Through More Than 235,000 Peoples Assemblies Diosdado Cabello, Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, said now the CBBIs are “the fundamental base of the Bolivarian Revolution, which are the bases of our party—organized, meeting, debating, [and] selecting in an extraordinary exercise of participatory and protagonist democracy….The people are the protagonists and assume the leadership of the new era and structure of the PSUV.” The CBBIs have three fundamental tasks for the fourth National Popular Consultation held on Nov. 23, where they vote on 36,000 projects in their local areas.
“The first task is to support the consolidation of all community councils, community circuits, and communes in addition to firmly supporting the success of the upcoming popular consultation. The second is to prepare for the comprehensive defense of your street, your neighborhood, your community, with a single slogan: peace. The third task is to consolidate the team on the street, circle in each street the number of supporters; establish how many friends we have on the ground, establish a working circle of the integral base committee in each street, through a broad plan of knocking on doors, touching hearts and looking each other in the eyes.”

Ignacio Ramonet with Nicolas Maduro: US Imperialists are After Latin America’s Strategic Resources “We are ready to engage in dialogue and defend peace. But we have also prepared for any contingency. I have already said that if they [Washington] were to take action in an attempt to destabilize Venezuela, from that very moment the order for mobilization and combat operations of the entire people would be decreed, and the Venezuelan working class would begin an insurrectionary general strike…No foreign power will impose its will on our sovereign nation. But if they break the peace and persist in their neocolonial intentions, they are in for a huge surprise. We want peace, but we are prepared. Very well prepared, for any eventuality. They have been warned.”
TeleSur: President Maduro Warns Workers of CIA Sabotage Plots; VP Rodriguez: The U.S. seeks to turn Venezuela into its 51st State Maduro called on workers to remain alert to a sabotage plan orchestrated by the CIA against the country’s strategic facilities. “Bolivarian Militia and combat units: the comprehensive defense plan requires everyone to defend their space. Defend the oil and gas installations from CIA attacks,” Maduro said during a preparatory meeting ahead of the Working Class Constituent Congress.
Vice President Delcy Rodriguez warned that the US seeks to turn her country into its 51st state. “We will continue being an independent republic. We will never be a state of any other country! Our people will never obey the orders of a handful of traitors and a gang that promises to be the 51st state,” referring to the U.S.-backed far right. She emphasized that Venezuelans are showing their resilience and work after more than two months of an “incessant psychological campaign” by the US.

Orinoco Tribune: Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov – Moscow stands ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with Caracas “In the current difficult situation, at this hour of trial, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the Venezuelan people and our allies as never before,” said Ryabkov in an interview on November 20. “It is clear that the fight against drug trafficking must be waged by other means, and it is equally clear that the accusations against the Venezuelan leadership, and Venezuela as a country, are also, by and large, unfounded.” He said Russia advocates “for all of Latin America to remain a zone of peace.”
“We stand in solidarity with Venezuela. We believe that the United States’ unjustified military deployment in the southern Caribbean and other regions creates a climate of heightened tension, and the United States is solely responsible for this…Venezuela is doing everything possible to end drug trafficking in the region.”
Orinoco Tribune: Sheinbaum Rebuffs Trump After He Threatens to Bomb Mexico, Colombia Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum responded “it’s not going to happen …I have told him on every occasion that we can collaborate, but that we operate in our territory and do not accept any intervention from any foreign government.” Claudia said Washington clarified that any military intervention would only occur if Mexico requested it. “And we are not going to ask for it.”
President Maduro has requested diplomatic talks on several occasions with Washington to avoid a military confrontation, but Trump has dismissed all requests.
President Sheinbaum also referred to the recent protests in Mexico. Those who participated in the protest were political actors from the far-right opposition groups. “Do they think they’re going to weaken the president? No. Do they think they’re going to do anything to me? No, we are strong with the people, strong, very strong…We will never back down,” Claudia added.
Al Mayadeen: European politicians warn against US military campaign in Venezuela Over 60 European political figures, including UK MP Jeremy Corbyn, Manon Aubry, Yanis Varoufakis, and Irene Montero, have signed an open letter warning against potential US military action in Venezuela. The letter, released by Progressive International, raises serious alarms over what they call the “prelude to an invasion.” Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General said he welcomed any US-Venezuela dialogue that could de-escalate the situation in the southern Caribbean.
Roger Harris: Venezuela Under Siege: A Hundred Deaths At Sea; Hundreds Of Thousands By Sanctions The notion that the US – the world’s leading consumer of illegal narcotics, the major launderer of trafficking profits, and the cartels’ favored gun runner – is concerned about the drug plague is ludicrous….As horrific as the [boat] slaughter by direct US military violence against Venezuela may be, a far greater contributor to excess deaths has received scant media attention. The toll from sanctions is well over a hundred-fold larger. Economists Mark Weisbrot and Jeffrey Sachs showed that US sanctions imposed 2017-2018 drastically worsened Venezuela’s economic crisis and directly contributed to an estimated 40,000 excess deaths. By 2020, former UN Special Rapporteur Alfred de Zayas estimated a death toll of over 100,000.
The Lancet reveals that a disproportionate number of the sanction’s victims globally are children under the age of five. The study finds that more human life is extinguished by sanctions than by open warfare. The Sanctions Kill Campaign are inviting health workers to sign a letter to the US Congress and the executive branch to end these child-killing sanctions.
