Venezuelanalysis: Government Calls for the Return of 18 Venezuelan Children Abducted by the US Venezuela called on the US to return 18 children whose migrant parents were detained and later deported without them. The 18 minors aged 1-12 are currently under US foster care. National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez said some of the fathers were among 252 Venezuelan men sent to El Salvador’s CECOT prison …Caracas has pledged to continue to pressure international bodies for the return of the 18 children, the 252 men in CECOT, as well as Venezuelans who remain in ICE detention centers.
President Maduro criticized UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, for not addressing the violation of migrants’ rights amidst Trump’s mass deportation campaign, as well as the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Maduro also rejected a recent report submitted by Türk which accused Venezuela of human rights violations between May 2024 and May 2025, including “arbitrary detentions, violations of due process and enforced disappearances.” “Türk’s biased agenda appears to serve the interests of Washington and European elites, working against the countries of the Global South,” Maduro added..
The Guardian OpEd by Colombia President Petro: Governments like mine have a duty to stand up to Israel. Far too many have failed “Over the past 600 days, the world has watched Benjamin Netanyahu lead a campaign of devastation in Gaza, the escalation of regional conflict, and a reckless abandonment of international law at large…While we may face threats of retribution when we stand up for international law – as South Africa discovered when the United States retaliated against its case at the international court of justice – the consequences of abdicating our responsibilities will be dire. If we fail to act now, we not only betray the Palestinian people, we become complicit in the atrocities committed by Netanyahu’s government.”
Orinoco Tribune: What the 17th BRICS Summit Declaration Says and Omits At the 17th BRICS Summit, in Rio de Janeiro from July 6 to 7, 2025, the bloc’s leaders issued a declaration reaffirming the bloc’s central role as a representative voice of the Global South. However, the declaration does not mention the word “genocide” when referring to the Israeli massacre of the Palestinian population, and despite condemning unilateral sanctions, it fails to mention one of the countries that has suffered the greatest impact from them: Venezuela, a strategic ally of China and Russia, two of the founding countries of the BRICS…The document focuses on economic cooperation, climate justice, technological innovation, and strengthening multilateralism, and to consolidate BRICS as an effective alternative to the traditional, Western-dominated international order.
One of the central points of the text is the promotion of reform of multilateral institutions, especially the United Nations and its Security Council, to increase the representation of developing countries. In the economic sphere, the BRICS took important steps toward greater financial and trade integration. Significant progress has been made in cross-border payment systems based on local currencies, which reduce dependence on the US dollar.
Mision Verdad: María Corina Machado and Marco Rubio Escalate Interventionist Narratives Against Venezuela From unfounded accusations to covert operations backed by US agencies, the destabilization agenda against Venezuela follows a historical pattern used by Washington in other interventions, such as in Iraq. Thus, Venezuela is once again in the crosshairs of the empire, under a discourse that attempts to create the perfect excuse for a systematic aggression:
1. The Guyanese enclave and the false flags: The Cuyuní River incident (February 18); Visit of Marco Rubio to Guyana (March 27); Another false flag operation (May 15). 2.The border with Colombia: President Maduro condemns Colombia’s inaction (end of April); Security operation and 38 arrested (May 19); Terrorist conspiracy (July 2025). 3. Reviving the Venezuelan “narco-state” narrative. 4. Maria Machado’s calls for intervention. 5.Media agencies join the smear campaigns.
The events described above reflect a meticulously planned strategy whose ultimate goal is to create the necessary breeding ground to justify an escalation against Venezuela. Over time, Washington’s tactic seeks to build a dossier that will serve as the basis for an intervention, be it diplomatic, economic, or even military. The pattern repeats itself: first the threat is created, then the manipulated evidence is presented, and finally that evidence is used to justify a forceful aggression.
TortillaconSal: Nicaragua Speech in Algeria in Forum on the Crimes of Colonialism We “denounce the incalculable crimes of colonialism and imperialism—rapacious and extractive systems that have exposed and continue to expose entire civilizations to genocide, cultural extermination, slavery, abject poverty, and underdevelopment. The Nicaraguan people, lovers of freedom and defenders of peace, cannot turn a blind eye when speaking of the deep scars that colonialism has left on the soul of our nations. We speak of systematic genocides and decimated populations. We speak of cultural extermination where languages were banned, beliefs persecuted, and ancestral traditions ridiculed or eradicated—all in the name of a supposed “civilization” that, in reality, was barbarism disguised as progress. We also speak of slavery, that indelible stain on human history, which tore millions from their homes, chained them, and subjected them to lives of torture and servitude to fill the coffers of colonial empires.
“The Algerian people, under French colonial rule for more than 130 years, waged an unrelenting war of liberation, becoming an inexhaustible source of inspiration for revolutionary movements worldwide, particularly for the Sandinista National Liberation Front and the Nicaraguan people…The victory of the Algerian Revolution was not just that of a people against an empire; it was the affirmation that dignity and self-determination are non-negotiable, that the will of a free people is invincible. The brutality of French repression, which claimed more than 1.5 million innocent lives, fueled the flames of resistance…
The decolonization process, driven by the courage of Peoples like the Algerian, has been a monumental advance in human history. This blow to colonial empires marked the beginning of a new era—an era in which millions of human beings saw their national dignity restored and conquered the sovereign and inalienable right of every people to decide their destiny in peace, freedom, and free from threats and aggressions.”
TeleSur: Venezuela’s Attorney General Saab Denounces Bukele’s Secret Deals with Gangs Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab exposes Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele’s secret deals with gangs, denouncing his double standards amid the detention of 252 Venezuelans in harsh conditions in El Salvador. Saab’s denunciation follows a June 30 report by The New York Times, which revealed the existence of covert pacts between Bukele and the notorious international terrorist group Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13). The pact reportedly involves reducing gang violence and providing political support to Bukele in exchange for money and privileges granted to imprisoned gang leaders…Saab stated that Bukele offered the US a 50% reduction in the cost of detaining [252] Venezuelans in exchange for the transfer of gang leaders to El Salvador, treating human lives like commodities traded in a street market.
Granma: United States fines company for sending food to Cuba The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), of the Treasury Department, imposed a fine of $608,825 dollars to the company Key Holding, LLC, owner of Key Logistics Colombia S.A.S., for making 36 shipments to Cuba between 2022 and 2023, valued at more than three million dollars. Most of these shipments consisted of foodstuffs, along with oil well machinery, towels and electric forage choppers. Once again, OFAC punishes even the shipment of food, which shows that the real objective is to suffocate Cuba and generate suffering among its people.
