Al Mayadeen: President Maduro reaffirms solidarity with Palestine, warns of regional plots He affirmed that Venezuela stands with Palestine, stressing that the day will come when “we will meet in the streets of al-Quds as victors.” Speaking at the Global Conference for Solidarity with Palestine, Maduro emphasized that Palestine is the cause that unites humanity. He added, “Notice how the Zionists signed the agreement and then turned to Syria, launching attacks through the terrorist groups they sponsor, which are now attempting to take control of Aleppo.”
Al Mayadeen: Cuba, Venezuela presidents reiterate solidarity with Palestine Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel denounced the US for using its veto power during a United Nations Security Council session on November 20 to block a resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Venezuelan President Maduro stated, “We share a common struggle with Iran for the rights of the Palestinian people,” reiterating his call for a strong alliance between Arab, Islamic, and Global South nations to support Palestine.

Tortilla con Sal (John Perry): Biden Declares Another ‘National Emergency’ Because of the Threat Posed by Tiny Nicaragua Biden recently renewed Nicaragua posing an “unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States,” a designation that began with Trump. This “threat” comes from a state which spends less of its national income on defense than almost any other country in the hemisphere. It even spends slightly less than neighboring Costa Rica, which has no army. Its total national income (GDP) is the equivalent of a small US city. The US-instigated 2018 uprising that shook Nicaragua lasted roughly three months, resulted officially in 251 deaths (including 22 police officers; others put the total deaths as higher) and over 2,000 injured. It allegedly “caused $1 billion in economic damages.” Today, life expectancy in Nicaragua is one of the longest in Latin America, despite its income per capita being among the lowest. ECLAC showed that Nicaragua has comprehensive health care, advances in education, social housing, transport, electricity and drinking water coverage and its transition to renewable energy.
Wall Street Journal: More Oil for Fewer Migrants: Trump Is Urged to Make Deal With Venezuela “American oil executives and bond investors are urging President-elect Donald Trump to abandon his first-term policy of maximum pressure on Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro and instead strike a deal: more oil for fewer migrants…An agreement [with Venezuela] would also help check adversaries such as China and Russia. Those countries gained ground in Venezuela following U.S. economic sanctions which barred American companies from pumping and transporting Venezuelan crude…Several American businessmen who traveled to Caracas earlier this year and met with Maduro and his inner circle say the Venezuelans were convinced that Trump would win the U.S. election and engage with Maduro much like he had with the leaders of North Korea and Russia…“The challenge is how do you disentangle yourself and the U.S. from a policy approach that utterly failed to generate political change in the country, impoverished more people and accelerated the migration of millions of Venezuelans,” said Thomas Shannon, a former high-ranking U.S. diplomat in Latin America…Ardent Maduro foes also hold sway in the Trump transition team, including [Marco Rubio], former national security adviser Mauricio Claver-Carone, as well as Elon Musk, [and] former defense contractor Erik Prince.

In addition, during her morning press conference on Thursday, November 28, Sheinbaum reiterated this.
Orinoco Tribune: US Issues New Sanctions Against Venezuela As part of its renewed assault on Venezuela, the US Department of the Treasury announced new unilateral coercive measures—euphemistically referred to as sanctions—against 21 Venezuelan state officials. To date, OFAC has imposed sanctions on more than 180 individuals and 100 Venezuelan institutions, including military personnel, cabinet members, and representatives of security forces.
